Sweden´s influence in the EU after the crisis (2013:10epa)

Författare:

In this European Policy Analysis, Magnus Jerneck argues that enhanced cooperation between the euro countries presents Sweden with a decisive challenge. According to the author, EU Member States that choose to remain outside the Monetary Union will find it increasingly difficult to exert influence in the EU. The risk of political marginalization is set against supranationality, and autonomy against possibly increased political influence in the Union, he argues.   The publication is part of SIEPS´ research project The political system of the European Union. Note: The publication is in Swedish only.

Magnus Jerneck is Professor in Political Science at Lund University.
