Trade and Welfare Effects of the EU's Bilateral and Regional

Timeframe: Completed
Project Manager: Ulrika Stavlöt

The project has studied the economic consequences of bilateral and regional trade agreements and employed a method previously not used in the EU context.

The purpose has been to examine whether trade flows increase more for goods where the parties joining a free trade area have comparative advantages. The European Union can be seen as a regional trade agreement, since it lowers non tariff barriers.
