Edwin Hercock

Edwin (Ned) Hercock is a researcher and English-language editor. He has a PhD in English Literature from the University of Sussex and an MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe, where he focused on post-war history and European political economy.
He has worked in local politics, law enforcement and in policy roles in various UK government departments. His government experience spanned international judicial cooperation, trade, counter-terrorism and Brexit.
His research interests include electoral politics, the theory and practice of a ‘social’ Europe, and the impact of the EU on the wider world.
