Jakob Lewander is a researcher in political science, responsible for issues regarding the EU decision-making process and political system, EU and the member states, EU opinion, and EU in the world.
He is especially interested in the organisation of the Commission and its dealings with different policy areas, the development the European party system, the consequences of the euro-crisis for member states’ party systems, and the EU’s relations to its vicinity and enlargement policy.
Jakob is particularly knowledgeable in Spanish domestic politics and its political system, and he participates frequently in the media with comments on the development in Spain and its relations with the EU.
