Harry Flam
Professor in International Economics
Harry Flam is professor emeritus of international economics at Institute of International Economics (IIES) at Stockholm University. He has a Ph.D. from Stockholm School of Economics and has been visiting professor at Tel Aviv University and University of Chicago. Flam´s research has primarily dealt with the theory of trade and trade policy and European economic integration. He has been head of IIES, dean of Stockholm School of Business at Stockholm University, chair of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council and has chaired or been a member of public commissions, among them on Swedish participation in the European monetary union, on the financial independence of the Swedish central bank and on the Swedish central bank´s gold dealings with Germany during WWII.
