Katarina Engberg
Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Research
Katarina Engberg is Senior Adviser at the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies, SIEPS. She has been Director in the Swedish Government Offices (Ministry of Defence and the Prime Minister's Office; Office for Strategic Development and Future Issues and the EU Coordination Secretariat). She served (2004-2007) as Minister for Defence Affairs at the Swedish Permanent Representation to the EU and the Swedish NATO Delegation and was Head of the Swedish Defence Group in Brussels.
Background
Katarina Engberg holds a Ph D in Peace and Conflict Research from Uppsala University, a Master in Public Administration, MPA, from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and has a “Diploma” from Lisbon University. She has been a Fellow and research associate with Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, WCFIA, Harvard University, and a research associate with the International Institute for Strategic Studies, IISS, London.
