Nya regler om fri rörlighet för patienter (2008:15epa)

Författare: Edwardsson Eva

The General Court has since 1998 developed its practice on cross-border healthcare. But the development has taken place without guidance from EU regulators.

Now, Member States and the European Parliament will try to agree on common EU rules. If the proposal is adopted, patients' mobility across borders will increase. Which patients can be expected to use the increased mobility? The proposal means additional administrative costs. Is it worth the money?

The analysis is in Swedish and is a part of the research project The EU's Internal Market: Effects on Central Areas.
