Invandringspolitik för cirkulär migration (2009:9)
Circular migration has become a central concept for the future EU migration policy, implying that migrants should be encouraged to move repeatedly between the country of origin and the host country. The basic purpose is to utilise international labour mobility to make both countries’ economies more efficient.
The author discusses problems of specific migration policies to stimulate mobility based on a review of the relevant literature.
The report is part of the research project Internal and external dimensions of a common asylum and migration policy and was presented at the seminar Immigration Policy for Circular Migration.
