Arbetslöshet och utanförskap bland unga i Europa: En makroekonomisk studie av NEET (2014:1)
The global financial crisis has led to a substantial rise in youth unemployment in Europe. Furthermore, young people are today increasingly excluded not only from the labour market, but the education system as well.
This has given rise to the concept of NEET – not in employment, education or training. In this report, the authors Monika Hjeds Löfmark and Jonas Eriksson analyse the relationship between NEET a number of macroeconomic variables.
The publication is part of SIEPS´ research project EU and EMU after the economic crisis.
Note: The report is in Swedish only, but includes a brief summary in English.
